You are trusting us with your customers’ identity documents. This page says plainly what happens to them — and what we deliberately do not keep.
The less we hold, the less there is to lose.
Aadhaar images are discarded
Where an Aadhaar is submitted, the image is not retained. Keeping a full copy of someone’s Aadhaar is a liability with no matching benefit — nothing in the rental flow needs it.
Aadhaar numbers are stored masked
Only the last four digits are kept, in the form XXXX XXXX 1234. A consequence worth knowing: a masked number cannot be re-verified later, so a check happens at capture time or not at all.
Driving licences are kept in full
Because the statutory renter register requires them. This is the one identity field deliberately retained, and it is retained for that reason.
Nothing sensitive is on a public page
Renter names, numbers, documents and booking details never appear on a storefront, a city page or in anything a search engine can reach.
Your customers are yours alone.
One business cannot see another’s records
Every record carries the business it belongs to, and that separation is enforced by the database itself rather than only by application code — so a bug in a query cannot leak another operator’s customers.
Your customer book stays your customer book
Raahvi does not market to your renters, sell your customer list, or use it to promote another operator.
Media is served by unguessable link
Photographs and documents are not listed or browsable, and identity documents require an authenticated session — a crawler cannot reach one.
Raahvi is software, not your compliance department.
The rental is your contract
Every rental is between you and your customer. Raahvi is not a party to it and does not collect rental payments or deposits.
Your obligations remain yours
Your rental terms, your insurance, your permits and your statutory registers are your responsibility. Raahvi gives you a record; it does not discharge the duty.
You decide what you collect
What documents you ask a renter for is your decision, and your customers’ data-protection requests are yours to answer — the records are there to help you do it.
We do not claim a security certification, because we do not hold one. This page describes how the product actually behaves. If you need something more formal for your own compliance, ask us and we will tell you honestly what exists.
